Band history
In the beginning of the xc Sarah and Gert played in an amateur band, a Basement Plugs. This lead to the discovery of Sarah, who was offered the risk by the label; primarily because of her smokey, enigmatic voice. Under the supplementary English title, Sarah Beth, she appeared in many picture soundtracks by having covers including We'm and then lonesome I personally can cry (originally by Hank Williams) for the movie Vrouwen Willen Trouwen (Women Obviously Marry) & the duet using Frankie Miller Why don't you try maine, (originally by Ry Cooder) for the movie Ad Fundum. She was offered the contract & formed the band by owning her brother Gert. A b& was known as A Guide and within 1993 they recorded their debut album The Great Subconscious Club. Within 1994 the band has five approximately lasting members: Sarah and Gert, Jan van Sichem Jr (guitar), Koen Liekens (drums) and Erik Verheyden (Bass). These 5 toured Germany & a America, supporting a Indigo Girls, an American Folk-Rock band. Whilst it come to a Usa an additional class action by using the title The Choice, forced the band to vary their title; it decided that 'One thousand's Selection''' would capture a spirit of the band. K refers to Joseph K. from Kafka's the Trial. In the book Joseph K. has there are no options, and then a title is intended ironically, as a unknown, incomprehensible impossibility, rather numerous of their songs.

Inside 1995 they record Paradise in Me. Non an Addict, one taken from either this album was super successful & will bring international fame. At that point Bart van der Zeeuw has replaced Koen Liekens on drums and bass players hard-hitting vary. For the next season (1996-1997) they tour supporting Alanis Morissette, who heard a band swimming in European festivals. Inside 1998 Cocoon Crash, their third album is finished. Meanwhile Western Eric Grosman has become a lasting bass streaming video player. Around 2000 their last studio-album Almost Happy is finished. Koen Liekens has returned as drummer. Inside 2001 Survive (the Ii-Video collection of survive recordings) is around places, & within 2003 tenner (the collection of ten years of singles & songs that didn't come out in their albums) is as well, these are accompanied by a DVD by having the equivalent title.

Around 2003 a band decides to take a month murder. Gert and Sarah both want to test a bit of solo operate. Gert produces an album (for the Belgian b&, Venus around Flaming) and Sarah records the solo mini-Video Last & appears in many motion picture soundtracks today using songs of her have (Tons of This Preceding for Underworld and Someone to say Hi to for the Zus and Zo). Except for quatern fully albums, the survive album & the right of it too produced iv limited edition & fan club Videos: Additional Cocoon, 2000 Seconds Survive, House & Heading Backwards.

Inside 2005 Sarah freed her solo album Scream in both Europe & a U.S. Sarah has been performing tour dates around each hemispheres. Gert, getting flirted for for a while using a band title Moon Brigade has announced that his recently band's title is "Woodface" (which is likewise a title of one of his special albums from either Crowded Home).

Music
Their music may be described when guitar-depending singer-songwriter rock or folk-rock. It ranges from either super delicate & intimate singer-songwriter songs to songs that come stronger, further active & loudly. Sarah's smokey, enigmatic voice is the elastic better known characteristic. In the sevener years between The Great Subconscious Club and Almost Happy the music changed from altogether & guitar-depending to the additional subtle & delicate healthy. Sarah and Gert write most of the music & lyrics. Virtually all of these are written singly. Sarah mainly tries to express ideas around her songs & has the h& around writing silly and tongue-around-cheeks songs. Gert has 1 large theme: losing a one busy people love. When virtually all of the songs come easy accessible & open, a few others come unknown & incomprehensible. This led Sarah to comment: "Listening to the lyrics in the first time, you may find it hard to understand their meaning. When you listen to them a second time you may sense a basic truth in these cryptic words. If you do so, please let me know".
